On the occasion of Zacapa's 40th anniversary, Master Blender Lorena Vásquez has created this unique Zacapa Royal rum.
It is a unique rum and its slow aging conveys a complexity of aromas and a character that gives an experience of luxury with a finish that is sweet, exotic and superbly smooth.
Zacapa Royal Gran Reserva Especia is selected the rarest and most mature barrels to produce this unique rum in. Rum, which varies from 8 to 30 years, is rounded off after a long aging process in French oak casks. Barrels that come exclusively from four French forests.
The area: These forests are located in, formerly known as "King's trees" or Le Bois du Roy
Scent: Beautiful spicy scent of cloves, chocolate, coconut and nutmeg.
Tasting notes: Fine depth and complexity, wrapped in restrained sweetness. Dried fruit and spices in the aftertaste, which linger in the mouth for a long time without being intrusive.
Zacapa rum was first produced in 1876 at The House in the Clouds, which is 2330 meters above sea level. Rome's
creation starts in Guatemala's fertile volcanic soil. The southern coast is the best place in the world to grow sugarcane because the sun shines
all year.
