About the Manufacturer
Yamazaki Distillery was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii and is Japan's first malt whiskey distillery. Inspired by Scotch whisky, Torii chose Yamazaki for its optimal natural location and high-quality water source. Since its inception, Yamazaki has been synonymous with innovation and craftsmanship, and is now recognized as the birthplace of Japanese whisky. The distillery is known for producing complex and profound whiskeys that capture the essence of Japanese culture and nature.
