Wemyss A Treat Down Memory Lane is Single bottling from Dufftown distillery, aged 14 years in Hogshead oak casks and released in a very limited number of 323 bottles.
Scent: Malt with barley grain sweetness and melted butter with oak notes and hay with walnuts.
Taste: Very creamy with toffee and raisins with coffee in the background that lingers in the aftertaste with fruit and spices.
The releases from Wemyss are named after the associations that the taste gives. is released non-chill filtered and ABV of 46 %.
Wemyss Malts:
Wemyss Malts is run by siblings William and Isabella Wemyss, and mainly consists of two series of independent bottlings.
Core Collection:
Core Collection is the heart of Wemyss Malts. The series consists of three blended malt releases, each of which expresses different schools of Scotch whisky. Peat Chimney are heavily smoked and salty. Spice King is spicy and complex. The Hive is honey-sweet and fruity. All three releases come in beautifully designed gift boxes.
Single Cask Collection:
pseries of single cask bottlings from some of Scotland's finest distilleries. The releases are poetically named after the associations the taste gives, and each release only comes in very small numbers.
The distillery:
The Dufftown distillery is located in the Speyside region of Scotland and has had very few official releases. 97 % of the distillery's production goes to blended whisky. The remaining 3% which is released in Single Malt is mainly released by independent bottlers.
Dufftown town has 6 active distilleries.
