Waterford Hook Head 1.1 is part of Waterford Distillery's Single Farm Origin range. Their Single Farm Origin range releases whiskey made from barley from one particular farm, in this case from the Hook Head farm.
THE HEAD DISTILLER AT WATERFORD DISTILLERY DESCRIBES THIS WHISKEY LIKE THIS:
Appearance: Straw yellow with an oiled surface on the glass.
Nose: Earthy malt notes, fresh earth, citrus peel, bread crust, cloves, white pepper, caramel, milk chocolate, salted popcorn, green foliage and oak.
Taste: Lots of spice; cloves, white pepper. Salted caramel, licorice, ginger, biscuits, lemon peel and chilli chocolate.
Aftertaste: Dry finish that leaves a persistent, spicy experience.
