Wine for this Vista Alegre Colheita 2013 White from Vista Alegre, is exclusively from the 2013 harvest and aged in oak barrels for 10 years. These are carefully selected white grapes from the defined Douro region, namely: Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Gouveio, Arinto, Cercial and Rabigato.

Color: Golden
Scent: Very complex fragrance that highlights the notes of dried fruits such as hazelnuts and almonds, combined with aromas of dried peaches and prunes and notes of candied fruit. There are still some fine notes of toast from aging in old wooden casks.
Taste: Elegant, good balance between its lively acidity and its natural sweetness. It also reveals a flavor that comes from honey, candied fruit and quite distinct roasted dried fruits.
Aftertaste: Its freshness can still be felt, and finishes velvety and persistent.
Serving temperature: Chilled, between 6° and 10°C.

Fall year 2013: The winter was characterized by heavy rainfall – During the spring the temperatures were almost always low, which delayed the plant's development. The summer was dry and hot, with light rain in late September. These conditions allowed the plant to mature well, giving rise to very elegant wines.

Vista Alegre Colheita 2013 White is stored vertically, in a cool, dry and dark place.
After opening, it should be consumed within 1 – 4 months.

About the Vinhuset

Quinta da Vista Alegre is located in Pinhão, on the right side of the Douro River. With natural beauty and a unique location, facing south and at an altitude of around 250 meters – these are key factors in achieving the perfect ripening of the grapes.

It's about. 60 hectares of vineyards where you can find the most noble grape varieties in the entire Douro region. Mainly grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca, among others in lower quantities. The oldest vineyards, known as “Vinhas Velhas” (“Old Grapes”), are over 100 years old.

All the grapes have been classified as “A” and have been since 1932 by the then regulatory body, Casa do Douro, due to their quality potential.

The vineyards of Quinta da Vista Alegre are part of the beautiful landscape of the Douro River, whose images illustrate specialized publications that glorify the splendor of the Douro River with its valley sides lined with striped rows of grapes.
