Vallegre Rosé – Douro DOC

This Vallegre Rosé – Douro DOC presents a bright red cherry color, a young aroma, fruity, intense and very fresh with a touch of sweet red fruits. On the palate it is dry, round and smooth, with a well-balanced acidity and a sweet long-lasting finish.

The wine comes from Cima Corgo in the Douro Valley – more specifically Quinta de Vista Alegre, this fine rosé is produced on Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franc.

Excellent as an aperitif, but also goes perfectly with salads, fish and shellfish, pasta and risotto, light meat, pizza and oriental cuisine.

Recommended serving at a temperature of 8 to 10ºC.

About the Vinhuset

Quinta da Vista Alegre is located in Pinhão, on the right side of the Douro river. With natural beauty and exceptional location, facing south and at an altitude of around 250 metres. It key factors to achieve the perfect ripening of the grapes.

It's about. 60 hectares of vineyards where you can find the most noble grape varieties in the entire Douro region. Mainly grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca, among others in lower quantities. The oldest vineyards, known as “Vinhas Velhas” (“Old Grapes”), are over 100 years old.

All the grapes have been classified as “A” and have been since 1932 by the then regulatory body, Casa do Douro, due to their quality potential.

The vineyards of Quinta da Vista Alegre are part of the beautiful landscape of the Douro River. Whose images illustrate specialized publications glorifying the splendor of the Douro River with its valley sides lined with striped rows of grapes.
