Tarapaca Sparkling Brut combines the best of 3 grapes and gets a wonderfully harmonious sparkling wine. It appears beautifully clear in color with a wonderful scent of freshly cut grass, citrus fruits and good intensity. The taste is soft with fresh green fruit from the Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Good intensity and soft mousse give a wine in perfect balance.

Tarapaca Brut Sparkling made from grapes from several different locations in the Maipo Valley, the main part from the cool Casablanca Valley. The wine is composed of 50% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 15% Sauvignon Blanc. The wine is made using the Charmat method with second fermentation in a closed tank before bottling in the classic Champagne bottle.
The area and the producer:
Viña Tarapacá is one of the oldest wineries in Chile. They planted their first fields back in 1874 at the bottom of the Maipo Valley. Here they helped start Chile's wine industry. In 1992, Viña Tarapacá was acquired by the Fosfores Group whose plan was to create high-level wines adapted to the growing consumer interest. The first thing they did was buy "El Rosario de Naltagua", a large farm centrally located in the Maipo Valley. Here they built facilities with full control over the entire production process. Today, this winery is located in a butter hole surrounded by the most beautiful vineyards. Today, a total of 850 hectares have been planted.
Maipo Valley is bordered by the Andes Mountains on one side and the Maipo River on the other. The microclimate in the valley is completely unique. In part, you have the opportunity to irrigate the fields with the meltwater from the Andes mountains, and at the same time you lie down so that you get the cool breeze from the coast. In addition, there are 4 clearly defined seasons, with a large temperature difference between night and day during the summer period. This helps create fertile ground for healthy, ripe grapes with complex aromas and a good balance between acidity and sweetness.
Vina Tarapaca started making sparkling wine in the Casablanca Valley, where they bought a winery from a Champagne producer. Here they have developed several different types of sparkling wine, both produced using the classic method and the Charmat method with second fermentation in tank.
