Tamnavulin:

Their story began in 1966 with the opening of the distillery in the rural village of Tomnavoulin, Scotland. Although the doors were closed in 1995, they were reopened in 2007 after a major renovation of the distillery. Since then they have been making exceptional single malt whiskey with a true Speyside character that is rich, smooth and smooth.

The mill The name Tamnavulin is the Gaelic translation of 'mill on the hill', partly named after the historic former carding mill located by the distillery. Local farmers brought their sheep there during the summer months to have the sheep sheared and their fur made into wool.

At the foot of the Cairngorm mountain range is Tomnavoulin, the village of around 40 inhabitants and the Tamnavulin Distillery. The distillery is located deep in the heart of Speyside, the most famous whiskey producing region in Scotland. Home to over half of Scotland's malt whiskey producing distilleries, Speyside is the perfect place to produce whisky. The region's unique microclimate makes it a very temperate area of Scotland. This combined with an abundance of rich farmland makes it an ideal place to grow barley and mature whiskey.
