Talisker Storm is a Single Malt from the only distillery on the remote Isle of Skye. Storm has all the salty and maritime notes you expect from Talisker. However, slightly stronger and more smoky than usual with a strength of 45.8% alcohol. Here, burnt oak and fruity sweetness with the salty notes are united in a good, powerful glass.
Scent: Very aromatic with white pepper, bonfire smoke, cranberries and honey in a strong scent.
Taste: Explosion of flavor with burnt oak, pepper and smoke where salt and fruit sweetness bring it all into delicious harmony.
About the Distillery:
Founded in 1830, Talisker is the only distillery on the remote Isle of Skye. Today it is owned by Diageo and must be considered one of the giant's most important whiskey brands with a much-loved style that can be described as lightly smoked and characterized by salty, peppery and maritime notes.
In 1960 the distillery caught fire, but it was quickly rebuilt, and the curiously shaped boilers that stand there today are a faithful copy of the originals. Their special shape is believed to be absolutely essential to Talisker's unique character and taste. And it is worth preserving. Tasting a Talisker is almost like tasting the waves and the salty foam splashing against Skye's craggy rocks.
