The 2021 Distillers Edition from the Talisker distillery is double-aged in ex-bodega Amoroso cask wood (TD-S: 5XJ) for rich and fruity sweetness that rounds out the peaty, peppery punch of the malty regular release. Scent: Well focused and wonderful grapey sultana sweetness. Clean and tempting.
Taste: Crisp peat mellows into a tremendous richness, then hovers around sweet, roasted malt, leaving a heaty dryness. Wood rules the pepper; delicious, slightly oily sweetness; ripe, juicy fruit.
Aftertaste: Deep cocoa, vanilla and lingering, earthy peat. Very engaging great sweet-dry balance, led by sweetness.

- Talisker Distillers Edition won Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2007 and 2008 and then Double Gold in 2009 and 2014.
- International Wine and Spirit Competition Gold in 2002 (trophy), 2003, 2004 and Gold (Best in Class) in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 & 2010.
- Gold at the International Spirits Competition in 2005, 2008 & 2013.

About Distillery:
Talisker Distillery was built in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill at Loch Harport. Talisker also means cliff and the distillery is the only one on the volcanic island of Skye.
The whiskeys from here are widely recognized for their quality and strength. The distillery's triple distillation ended in 1928. In 1960-62 the distillery was rebuilt after a fire. Subsequently in 1972, it was converted to steam heating.
