Stauning Kaos 2022 is an extremely versatile whisky. For the full, undiluted experience, drink it neat like a scotch, add ice to get the feel of a bourbon, or spice up your classic whiskey-based cocktail with a Nordic chaotic twist.
Scent: Intense and invigorating with slightly smoky and spicy notes with sweetness in great complexity and structure followed by chocolate, oak, caramel, cinnamon and campfire smoke.
Taste: Like a smoked chocolate bar with nougat, caramel, licorice, sweet apples and oak.
Aftertaste: Long and smoky with vanilla, orange, tobacco, dried red fruit and more oak.

The name KAOS is inspired by Denmark's history. Named after Thorvald Stauning, the first social democratic prime minister and founder of the modern welfare state. Stauning KAOS is a mixture of the best rye and malt whiskeys that have produced this exciting result.
About the Distillery:
Stauning Whiskey is what can happen when a group of friends from different backgrounds combine their passion and energy to carry out an experiment that challenges and pushes the boundaries of whiskey making.
In an effort to revive the traditional methods that disappeared as a result of industrialization, all Stauning whiskeys are made from local grains that are floor malted in their own premises.
Distillation takes place in 24 small copper stills - under each of them a scorching fire burns. These cauldrons produce whiskey whose taste reflects the surrounding landscape on the west coast of Jutland.
Stauning Whiskey moved into the new distillery in 2018. A building with a dramatic silhouette and innovative construction work that draws on decades of classic Danish design and architecture. The building's sharp angles
made of burnt wood mimics the old fishermen's houses it shares the coast with.
