1 x Niepoort Tawny Dee

Fresh aromatic notes of nuts and dried fruits. The taste is elegant with soft tannins in a good balance with notes of red cherries, leather and dried fruit. Perfect for desserts with nuts or fruit as well as dry cheeses such as Manchego or Gruyere.

1 x Niepoort Ruby Dum

Is very red in the glass with a fresh aroma of red cherries, raspberries and cooked fruit. The taste is dense with present sweetness and a long velvety aftertaste, Ruby where there are red berries and a good mineral freshness in the taste.

Serve with powerful chocolate desserts and intense cheeses such as cheddar and brie de Meaux.

1 x Niepoort Tawny 10 years

Is delicious red orange-gold tones with a full taste of slightly spicy notes with hints of almond and lots of fruit, the final bouquet is spicy warm.

Serve with: Good with desserts, cheese and as an aperitif as well as with a good cigar.

1 x Niepoort Tawny 10 years White

Is beautiful golden amber in the glass with a wonderfully expressive scent with notes of honey, white flowers, tropical fruits. Roasted almonds, figs and a hint of sweetness and spice from barrel aging are also noticeable here. Old White hits the taste buds with an unheard of intensity and balanced vividly across the tongue with fresh fruit and dried fruit notes. A mile-long finish shows a product in perfect balance.

Served with: Aperitif, desserts with fruit, nuts and ice cream, or with powerful fatty cheeses.

1 x Niepoort Colheita 2007

Is chestnut colored in the glass with a reddish-brown rim. Very intense and rich notes with dried fruit, candied fruit and caramel. The taste is soft and fresh with a unique balance between acidity and sweetness and ends with a long, elegant and velvety aftertaste.

Serve with: Desserts with fruit, chocolate and nuts or chilled as an aperitif.

1 x Niepoort White Port

Is beautifully amber in the glass with a complex aroma of apricots, oranges and toasted character from the cask. The taste is soft, with a present sweetness that is nicely held in place by the fruit intensity. The fruit is emphasized by the oxidative notes in the form of toast and dried fruit.

Serve with: Can cope with the most demanding desserts, it plays well with everything from nuts, fruit and powerful cheeses.

At Niepoort, the family has been in charge of operations for five generations, and today it is Eduard Dirk Niepoort who has taken over the helm. It has always been aimed at two generations working together in the company to preserve the spirit and style of the wine. For many years, Niepoort has been famous for their classic port wines, wines of high quality with great concentration and a long shelf life. Dirk Niepoort is a very charismatic winemaker who has his own ideas and points of view, and his main philosophy is that wines must have freshness to be interesting.

Niepoort port wine is produced from grapes that come from old vines in the Pinhão and Pisca valleys. The vines that Niepoort harvests from are more than 70 years old, and are planted in the best and most schist soil. The grapes are hand-picked in September and October, and are trodden by both men and women in lagares (low granite vats). The fermentation process is brought to an end by the addition of grape spirit, while the must still possesses large amounts of natural sweetness.
