Secret Speyside (M) 2005, is a 17 year Single Cask whiskey from Signatory Vintage at full cask strength (Cask Strength). It is released as part of their Cask Strength Collection.

All that is known about the distillery behind the whiskey is the imprint "(M)" and that it comes from the region - Speyside. If you believe all the conjectures, this is the Macallan distillery. The cask aging of this whiskey took place from 11.07.2005 to 20.01.2023 and thus an aging age of 17 years. The whiskey has added 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Butt and is bottled unfiltered and uncoloured.

The whiskey is bottled as Cask Strength at 60.7 percent alcohol. There is only 625 bottles available worldwide.

Scent: The whiskey presents itself with fruity impressions. Lots of sherry and spicy oak and notes of blood oranges, nuts, pepper.
Taste: Full on the tongue, with lots of sherry and notes of citrus fruits.
Aftertaste: Long and pleasant spicy aftertaste with notes of rye and pepper, which leave behind dried fruits and oak.

About the Bottler

In 1988 Andrew Symington founded the “Signature Vintage Scotch Whiskey Company Ltd.” and since then has bottled exclusive casks from a large number of Scottish distilleries. His warehouse holds more than 10,000 casks – some from distilleries that no longer exist or that normally only produce whiskey for blends.

Signature Vintage continues to focus on single cask bottlings of Scotch whisky. For some of these "bottlings", two - rarely more - barrels are married together. The batches are therefore small and very limited. All bottles have precise information on the roasting and bottling dates as well as the casks.
