Scallywag The Chocolate Edition 2024 is an extraordinary edition from Douglas Laing's Scallywag Scotch whiskey range. This annual edition, the seventh in the series, takes a unique twist by finishing the blend of Speyside malts mainly in port casks. This enhances the chocolate flavor, which is a defining feature of this luxurious edition.
Scent: Dark forest fruits and rich spices.
Taste: Sweet and silky on the palate, followed by brown sugar and further wild berries and spices.
Aftertaste: At the end, you can expect a soothing warmth from the spices.
This edition comes in a special black silk-screened bottle and a wrapper that includes a subtle map of Portugal, which refers to the cask type. These design choices are new to the Scallywag brand, but retain the playful Fox terrier identity.
