Rum Nation Savanna 2004 -2019 – Reunion 62,8% Small batch of 402 bottles. cask no. 59. This rum is fully matured at the distillery of origin on Reunion in a tropical climate.

Scent: Good and rich sweetness with caramel, dry flavor, coffee and cinnamon.
Taste: Medium strong, the alcohol is well balanced and is not dominant. Alternates between sweet and dry notes. The emphasis is on the herbaceous with notes of tea and slightly dried thyme. Leather notes appear at the end. Neither agricole, nor grand aroma but very nicely in between.
Aftertaste: Long and dry with a finish and light leather as the dominant ones

The effect of the warm weather and the humidity accelerates the maturation process in interaction with the oak of the barrels. The result is a rum that is already perfectly ripe with full power at a relatively young age. It has a bold flavor profile that differs from other rums that have only been matured for a short time in the tropics and the remaining time in Europe.

Rum Nation Savanna 2004 is a very intense rum with a particularly strong taste of oak from the 13 years in cognac casks in the tropical climate.

Dark, dry and with a faint hint of an old bookstore. This rum needs a drop of water to release tantalizing aromas of cloves, bergamot, gentian root and licorice. Its tannic character from the casks becomes stronger towards the end as it has a final explosion of oak and pepper.
Feeling very warm and tight at once, a rum that reveals the volcanic intensity of Reunion Island.

Space Nation:

Rum Nation Rare Rum's aim is to present styles, with a particular focus on the differences between the different geographical production countries' unique qualities and aromas.

Times are changing – connoisseurs demand more knowledge about each bottle: distillery name, strength, blending ratio, aging form and cask types. The requirement is that more and more rums must be "different", in addition to being of the highest quality from the top shelf.

Each release of Rum Nation Rare Rum is a small batch bottling with individually numbered bottles and distillery name.

To celebrate this new range we have also designed a fresh style for the bottles with an elegant glass top instead of the usual cork. Minimal and classic design for the labels and a new tube for an elegant gift presentation.
