It is often said that less is more. Santos Dumont Heritage is a shining example of the validity of this principle. The reason is that the number of rum casks that could be found for this unique blend was extremely limited. Using these small pockets of aged rum with this sublime blend, they have created this rum in a very limited edition worldwide, with only 14,000 bottles.
Santos Dumont Heritage is truly an Ultra-Premium blend. It is made from fresh Brazilian sugarcane juice mixed with molasses-based rum from the West Indies and Central America. Most rum producers use rum distilled from molasses or rum from the pure sugarcane juice. Santos Dumont does it in a different way, combining the two types of rum in a way that can only be described as Santos Dumont.
Color: Rose colored Baltic amber
Scent: Leather and apricots hit you immediately followed by smooth tobacco notes
Taste: Ripe apricots and coconuts sweetened with demerara sugar and a touch of citrus, followed by mocha and cocoa notes
Aftertaste: Wonderfully smooth and complex finish. Ripe tropical fruits in good harmony with cocoa and tobacco notes.
