Routine Cabernet Sauvignon / Malbec

Rutini Cabernet Sauvignon / Malbec is a deliciously fruity and full-bodied in aroma and taste with ripe fruit and rich in spices such as vanilla and chocolate after barrel aging with a long pleasant aftertaste.

Aged 12 months in 50% new French oak barrels and 50% new American barrels.

Scent: Full-bodied and fruity with aromas of cherries, jam and plums.
Taste: Here, ripe fruit is combined with rich spices such as vanilla and chocolate from the time in oak casks. The aftertaste is long and persistent with silky tannins.
Serving suggestion: Roast veal or red meat.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C

The wine:

Rutini Cabernet – Malbec is with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Malbec. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown in Tupungato and the Malbec grapes are grown in La Consulta. Both climate and soil conditions are different in Tupungato and La Consulta, thereby creating the best conditions for each grape, which are harvested when they are optimally ripe.

After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in 50% new French oak barrels and 50% new American oak barrels for 12 months. Aging in new casks produces wines that are intended for aging.

The wine house:

The Rutini family's winemaking tradition began in the early 19th century in Le Marche, Italy, when Francisco Rutini made wine for the residents of his hometown, Ascoli Piceno. His only son Felipe Rutini immigrated to Argentina where he planted his first vines in Coquimbito, Maipú in Mendoza province.

Since its founding in 1885, Rutini Wines has been recognized for wines of exceptionally high quality and character. Today, Rutini Wines has vineyards in several areas of the Mendoza region. The different locations of the vineyards make it possible to grow the individual grape types in the area where each grape type has the most optimal growing conditions.

Rutini's buildings are located in Maipú and were completely renovated with brand new technology in the 1990s with great respect for the buildings' original architecture from 1885.

In October 2008, Rutini Wines expanded and built a new winery in Uco Valley, Mendoza, which was ready in March 2009 to receive the first harvest.
