Rum Malecon 15 years is matured for at least 15 years in specially selected oak casks.
Rum Malecon 15 years 40%, is one of the middle ones in the Malecon Rum-Reserva category we have in Denmark. It is a lightly spiced rum, with a hint of smoke, and with lots of notes of toffee, salted caramel, a bit of orange and notes of ruby port. The dish expresses itself with hints of smoke and vanilla as well as notes of cigar box. There is a long and soft finish with lots of spicy notes.

Malecon is in the style of the Cuban rum, although it is a Panama rum.
In 1908, the then owner, Don José Varela Blanco, established the first sugar factory. In 1936, the rum factory opened, which has been producing high-quality rum ever since. Varela Hermanos is located in the town of Pesé in the south of central Panama.
