The wine is a blend of Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault.

Winemaker:

J. Moreau & Fils has a female winemaker, Lucie Depuydt. She was born in Chablis, here Lucie nurtures a great love for the fields and the style of the area. She therefore works intensively to preserve the volatile aromatic substances in the wine. So their wines are of high quality, especially their Chablis wines. Their Select series, on the other hand, gives you extremely tasty wine for the money. The house's style can be tasted in all the wines.

History:

In 1814, the young cooper Jean-Joseph Moreau married into a wine-producing family. It wasn't just any family, it was the oldest wine producer in Chablis. Jean-Joseph quickly became a pioneer in Chablis, where the house's reputation grew and grew.
The goal has always been to produce Chablis that is true to the terroir, complex, elegant, balanced and true to the Chardonnay grape. Today Moreau also buys other grapes from e.g. South of France and makes affordable wine there. Then you are also guaranteed an income in the years when Chablis' fields are ravaged by frost and hail.
