1731 Fine & Rare – British West Indies XO Rum is a blend of rums from Trinidad, Barbados & Jamaica. A blend of up to 8 years of rum from the "British West Indies" that combines the three islands.

The intense and easily recognizable aroma originates from traditional pot-still distilled rum from Jamaica. In addition, column distilled and heavier pot distilled rum from Barbados; with good age and finally a lovely column distilled rum from Trinidad. This combination has resulted in an exciting and character-strong rum with lots of exciting aromas and character traits.

About the Manufacturer:

1731 Fine & Rare is a celebration of the year 1731, when, according to the history books, the Royal British Navy began serving the people of the lake "half a pint" of rum as part of the wages for the hard work. However, this special tradition ended on 31 July 1970, which became the last day for the serving of rum in the British Navy. An over 350-year-old tradition ended and today 31 July is known as "Black Tot Day" in Great Britain.

The 1731 Fine & Rare series consists partly of regional rum blends and completely unique "single-origin" rums from specific countries in the Caribbean, Central America and from the tip of the South American continent.

All rums in the series are bottled by natural color without the use of caramel; just as no sweeteners or other forms of artificial flavoring or additives have been added. These are the pure drops from the rum casks, which have all been stored where they were produced and they reflect in the taste and aroma. The distinctive character and unique characters you can expect from rums from these different regions.
