Sestiere Castello 4357 from Vinhuset Fabiano is a delicious sparkling prosecco with lively bubbles and light sweetness that is perfect for just enjoying or as a good starter before the barbecue or as a delicious sparkling wine for starters. Very suitable for gin cocktails in particular.

Scent: Taste and aroma combine in a delicate fruity scent with a multitude of yellow fruits, fresh apples, pears and a hint of flowers.
Taste: Here, the wine is experienced as fresh, lively and velvety with aroma nuances and a persistent and beautifully balanced aftertaste.
Server for: Prosecco is an obvious choice as an aperitif, with light fish dishes or with a fruit dessert.

Prosecco:

The Prosecco DOC Castello 4357 vines grow in a soil characterized by clay, mud and pebbles. It ensures good drainage for the canes and thus grapes with plenty of intensity and character. The grapes are harvested relatively early in their ripening process to ensure a high acidity and plenty of freshness in the final wine. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are lightly pressed and macerated at low temperatures, after which the first fermentation is carried out to create a base. The wine then goes through a second fermentation in tanks under pressure to create the wine's elegant bubbles.

Fabiano and the area:

The Fabiano family has been in the wine business since 1912 and has continuously expanded the business. In 1968, they moved their activities to the current headquarters, located between Verona and Lake Garda. From here, the family's activities in the individual wine regions in the region are managed. Today, Nicola Fabiano is at the helm, and even the same man is involved in the production of the wines. Fabiano sticks to the classic style with a twist of modernism. Most often, large old casks are used, but in recent years there has been more experimentation with the use of small casks, which contribute to giving more sweetness and concentration to the wines.

"Castello" is the name of one of the districts where part of Venice's historic center is located, and 4357 is the number of the street where founder Francesco Fabiano opened his first wine shop. Sestiere Castello 4357 is thus dedicated to Venice, where it all started more than 100 years ago.
