Elegant and fresh Pinot Grigio Garda, produced from 100% Pinot Grigio grape. Delicate fruit flavor with good body and a touch of lime, suitable acidity that ends in a gentle and pleasant aftertaste. Comes from the area around Lake Garda in Italy.

Scent: Beautiful white wine with a light, yellow color with a silver tint. Fine and harmonious scent with notes of citrus, tropical fruits, grapefruit, pineapple and a hint of herbs.
Taste: Elegant and fresh with a delicate fruit flavor with good body and a touch of lime, suitable acidity and a gentle and pleasant aftertaste.
Server for: Freshwater fish recipes with trout, European whitefish or white-clawed crayfish. It ages well for up to 3 years, becoming more and more complex as time goes on and better suited to more challenging dishes, such as risotto with perch.

Pinot Grigio Garda grapes are harvested in the Garda area, from vineyards planted on alluvial soils in the moraine hills, east of Lake Garda.

Santa Sofia's headquarters and cellars are located in Pedemonte, near Verona, Italy. Pedemonte is one of the most beautifully situated and mildest zones in the classic Valpolicella area. Through generations, Santa Sofia has built up and maintained a great reputation as a small producer with high quality and has for many years produced great wines of the very highest quality. Santa Sofia's wines are the result of a perfect blend of old traditions and years of experience added to modern technology.

Santa Sofia's cellars are in the part of the estate below and next to Villa Santa Sofia, which was formerly known as Villa Serego. The construction of the villa began in 1560, according to Andrea Palladio's plans. It was commissioned by Marcantonio Serego, a highly respected nobleman who was married to Ginevra Alighieri. In fact, only a very small part of the magnificent project was completed, and what can be seen today represents about a third of Palladio's original design.
