Nyetimber Classic Cuvee – A Treasure from England's Vineyards
Nyetimber Classic Cuvee is the ultimate choice for special occasions, whether it's a big birthday or the end of a busy week. This superb sparkling wine, with its pale golden color and fine bubbles, balances elegance and intensity with notes of honey, almond, bread and baked apple. Composed of 55-65% Chardonnay, 30-40% Pinot Noir and 5-15% Pinot Meunier, it is aged over three years on its lees to add extra complexity. It is no surprise that Nyetimber Classic Cuvee is consistently recognized as one of the best English sparkling wines.
Scent: An endearing scent with lots of citrus, barely ripe yellow plums, a touch of chalk, streaky pork and a little hazelnut. There are also hints of flowers and green apples.
Taste: A perfect balance between fresh and rich flavor notes. The palate offers honey, almond, bread and baked apple, with a zesty freshness and a subtle sweetness from vanilla and biscuits. Each small bubble brings a round, fruity, but at the same time fresh intensity.
Aftertaste: A long, rigorous and razor-sharp aftertaste, which leaves a lasting freshness and liveliness on the palate.

About the Manufacturer
Nyetimber is located in the heart of southern England, where limestone and sandstone-rich soil provides optimal conditions for the vines. Wine production in England goes back 2,000 years, with roots in the Romans and Normans. The cool climate of southern England ensures a slow ripening of the grapes, creating a perfect balance between acidity and ripeness. With climate change affecting traditional wine regions, English vineyards are thriving and the area under wine production has increased by 400% from 2004 to 2021.
Nyetimber was first mentioned in The Domesday Book from 1086, but it was not until 1988 that the first grapes – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – were planted. Eric Heerema took over the farm in 2006 and employed Cherie Spriggs and Brad Greatrix as winemakers. Nyetimber only uses hand-picked grapes from their own fields, which are personally inspected by Cherie and Brad. They use the classic Methode Traditionelle, and age the wines for longer periods to develop complexity.
Since the beginning, Nyetimber has won recognition and awards worldwide, and their wines often compete with the best champagnes. Nyetimber now covers almost ten percent of the total English wine area and is known for its high quality and innovative approach to wine production.
