Martha's LBV 2019 Late bottled vintage port wine from a single year

Scent: Lovely intense dark berries and morels together with cherries.
Taste: Deep where the dark berries and fruits go again but explode even more forward. There are hints of tannins that play well with the fruits.
Aftertaste: Medium length and fruity with a hint of dryness and earthy notes along with hazelnuts.

Server for: Enjoy as an aperitif, desserts, ice cream. You can also try it with the big steak.
Ruby Port wine is very suitable for marinating your meat in. Put the meat in the port wine solution the day before it is to be used. The port wine in which the meat has been added is used to make sauce.

Late Bottled Vintage – LBV:

LBV, as they are colloquially called, must age at least 3 years in barrels before bottling. Most are between 4 and 6 years old. Unfiltered and filtered LBV are found. If it is filtered, it is ready to drink immediately and will not develop. If it is unfiltered, it can lie for many years and will develop in the bottle, here the tannins and the spices will become softer with age.

Martha's vineyard:

All the way back to the year 1727, the Martha family founded their first vineyard in the Douro valley. For many years, the family only grew grapes, which were sold to other wine producers.
