Maggiolini Inzolia Catarratto Terre Siciliane IGT Eco
This Inzolia Catarratto from Maggiolini is fresh and intense. A delicious organic wine from Sicily.
En beautiful straw yellow color with fine greenish shades. The bouquet is intense and fruity with a remarkable freshness. On the palate, the wine is fresh and aromatic with a good finish and length. Enjoy the wine with fish or light meat dishes.
Serving temperature: 8-12°C
Maggiolini means little beetle and the small utility animal is of great importance to the organic wine production of the Di Girolamo family in Sicily. The grapes for Maggiolini grow on west, south-west facing fields in Salemi. The canes are on average 15 years old. The grapes are harvested manually from mid-September. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine matures for four months in stainless steel tanks.
About the manufacturer
The wines for the Maggilioni series come from the Sicilian family Di Girolamo, who have been involved in wine for 50 years. The youngest son Nicola, who is both an agronomist and oenologist, decided to reorganize the production so that it is both organic and vegan and has recently also received a sustainability certification. Only one vineyard lies in the hills, in the middle of a wind farm. In this way, the field is used not only to produce grapes, but also to produce energy. A modern irrigation system ensures constant quality and productivity.
