Mossburn Vintage cask series:
The series is a collection of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, each of which comes from a strictly limited and selected batch of casks. Each numbered release will only yield a limited number of bottles. While this means we can never replicate the distinctive character of each of these Single Malts, it also provides an opportunity to sample what we believe is an exceptional example of the whiskey made by some of Scotland's most distinguished distilleries.
For this selection we have sought out Single Malts of interest from distilleries not owned or operated by ourselves. They are the issue of specific vintages, with full traceability of the distillation and barrel aging that they have undergone. The master blender has specially selected these barrels from our aging warehouses, where many Single Malt Fades are slowly maturing, as worthy of special Mossburn Distillers & Blenders bottling. Each batch exhibited the classic characteristics of balance, depth and complexity that only the best Single Malts can deliver.
These Single Malt Scotch Whiskeys have all been bottled without color or chill filtration.
Where it all started:
We are a young company, but our roots run deep. The first bottling under the Mossburn name was released in 2017, as a range of classic Independent Bottler Malts. In the nearly three decades prior, the team developed and honed their skills in blending and bottling whiskey and a variety of other spirits. Their combined experience spans generations with over a century of continuous family history in the Scotch whiskey industry.
As we move into the next era of our development, we will be adding our own unique Single Malt Scotch Whiskeys created in distilleries we have built ourselves.
The Distillery at Torabhaig:
On the Isle of Skye. Operating since January 2017, the distillery is our first fully operational producer of Single Malt Scotch Whiskey and only the second ever legal distillery on the island. Torabhaig produces an extremely characterful, peaty new produced spirit which is currently maturing in a variety of casks.
Reivers Distillery:
Our second distillery is in the heart of the Scottish Borders. Designed to be much more innovative and experimental, Reivers will produce its first Single Grain Scotch Whiskey in 2020. Torabhaig and Reivers are worlds apart and sit at opposite ends of the whiskey making spectrum. But they are united in a common goal: to do something new, remarkable and bring something unique to the table.

We usually ship your item the same or the next business day. We send a written order confirmation when your order is ready for shipping. We do not collect payment until the item is cleared for dispatch from our warehouse.
