Macallan A Night On Earth – The Journey (2023) designed by artist Nini Sum, is the perfect single malt to round off the year. It forms the third release in The Macallan's collectable limited-edition series, which pays tribute to Scotland's Hogmanay, or year-end, and impressively captures the spirit of the December festivities.

During this very special night, family and friends gather to create memories and plan for the future. Tonight is New Year's Eve! Macallan A Night on Earth is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky, created to represent this reunion with loved ones and those special moments around the world.

The whiskey is matured in selected ex-sherry American and European oak casks and then in ex-bourbon American oak casks. This captures the unique bready, sweet and rich character of the whisky.

Artist Nini Sum contributed to the design of the gift box and the overall bottle visual, and in this release she has captured the feeling of coming home to celebrate the New Year, a time when we can leave the busy rhythms of life and replace them with a feeling of peace, hope and warmth. The New Year is celebrated by millions of people worldwide in different cultures. Nini's fondest memories of the New Year are the high, bright fireworks in the night sky and the neighbors' lanterns, which they used as a welcome greeting, lighting up her street. She has really managed to capture these moments.

She prefers the aromas of vanilla, baked apples, baked cookies, plum and almond in her whiskey. The soft, velvety sweet flavor is reminiscent of shortbread, vanilla sweetness, with lightly toasted marshmallow, dried orange, fig and cinnamon. The final flavor is sweet caramel with freshly baked cookies.
