This November 2021 edition of Longrow Peated from Campbeltown, is matured in Bourbon and Sherry casks. A heavily peated whisky, with a smoky flavor that travels through the senses like smoke billowing from an oven. Another good whiskey from the Springbank distillery.
Scent: Very creamy, vanilla custard. The smoke develops gradually rather than overpowering the other aromas present. Roasted marshmallows, herbs and rich fruits emerge over time.
Taste: Palate Incredibly well balanced; rich and creamy with a light medicinal touch. The smoke is always present, washing over the palate in waves, like the soft waves of smoke from the oven.
Aftertaste: The gentle smoke lingers and leaves you longing for more.
About the Distillery:
Longrow peated is a series distilled from Springbank Distillery, which was founded in 1828 by Archibald Mitchell and is thus Scotland's oldest independent distillery. Springbank is the only distillery where virtually everything is produced "on location" - from floor malting to bottling.
Springbank has never and will never be cold-filtered. No caramel or other color is added here.
