Lo Mon Priory
Very intense and fresh with red fruits and spices in delicious harmony with tannins.
Scent: Intense dark red color in the glass, where in the aroma you first perceive a large fruit compote with wild herbs from the Mediterranean area and finally black pepper. The aroma becomes fresher after a while in the glass and there are more notes of red fruits as well as peach and a touch of citrus fruits with balsamic.
Taste: Full-bodied and silky with clear and fresh tannins that linger for a long time with spicy notes.
Serve with: A good piece of beef or veal or try it with chicken.
Serving temperature: 18-21°C
The wine:
Lo Mon Priorat is made from 60% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 15% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on the house's own vineyards in Gratallops, Tarragona. After finishing vinification, the wine ages for 12 months in French oak casks of 225 litres. Distribution of the dishes are 33% are new, 33% are one year old and the last 33% are two years old. The wine is then bottled and aged for a further 24 months.

Trossos del Priorat is located in Gratallops in Priorat. At Trossos del Priorat, the focus is on producing fine and elegant wines with personality and the typical characteristics of the area. All the vineyards are grown according to organic principles. The climate in Priorat is characterized by high daytime temperatures and cool nights. The soil consists of shale and contains a wide range of minerals. The scanty amounts of rain force the roots of the vines to anchor themselves deep in the soil, whereby the minerality from the soil is propagated in the grapes and passed on to the wine.
The harsh conditions for the vines, where only the strongest survive, results in grapes that are bursting with flavor.
