Blackberry liqueur is made from concentrated blackberry juice with added sugar and alcohol.

Distillery:

In 1864, Auguste Peureux founded the distillery in Fougerolles at the foot of the Vosges. The distillery specialized in the production of fruit-based eaux-de-vie, including the famous Kirsch de Fougeolles, which quickly gained a good reputation. In 1927, sons André and Edgar took over the company and renamed it "Les Fils d'Auguste Peureux". In 1948 it was time for the next generation and André's son Claude Peureux took over the company. At the age of 18, he had many new ideas for the company's further development. He had seen how the market was developing and knew they had to be one step ahead of consumers. With this vision he set out to conquer new lands.
It was a new turning point for the company when Pierre Baud was hired as production manager in 1968. He kept the production up-to-date with the latest technology in the field. When Claude Peureux died in 1992, Pierre Baud took over the chairmanship, and in 2002 Pierre Baud's son took over the chairmanship. Another visionary man is now at the helm of Distilleries Peureux.
