La Chapelle de Haut-Bages Liberal Pauillac

La Chapelle de Haut-Bages is a beautifully refined wine with a delicate fruit aroma with notes of almonds.

Scent: Comes with a delicate fruit scent with notes of almonds.

Taste: Medium-bodied, creamy and very seductive with notes of crisp berries, black cherries, plums, licorice and flowers as well as finely integrated tannins and acidity followed by a long and tasty aftertaste.

The wine:

The wine is produced from the grapes Merlot 70% and Cabernet Sauvignon with 30%, grown on the vineyards of the wine castle in Pauillac in Bordeaux in France. 60% of this beautiful wine has been aged 12 months in oak casks 15% new, while the remaining 40% has been aged in cement tanks with an egg-like shape. It gives the wine a lot of flexibility and crisp fruit.
The wine comes from the younger vines on the castle's organically grown vineyards, which are run with consulting help from Eric Boissenot. Which is right next to Château Latour itself.

La Chapelle de Haut-Bages is a classic Pauillac from a great vintage, which should be enjoyed 5-10 years from the harvest year. The second wines of the classified châteaux can occasionally prove to be some of the exceptions, as demonstrated in this classic Pauillac.

Chapelle de Haut Bages Liberal is the second wine of the 5th Cru château Haut Bages Liberal. A historically recognized producer located in the well-known Bordeaux commune, Pauillac.

Château Haut-Bages Libéral, owned by Claire Villars-Lurton, is located in Pauillac, one of Bordeaux's most desirable communes. The municipality of Pauillac houses three of the five
famous 1st Crus from the well-known 1855 classification and a number of other highly classified wines. This La Chapelle de Haut-Bages Libéral is the 2nd wine from Château Haut-Bages Libéral.

Vinslotlett is one of the pioneers in the responsible and sustainable cultivation of grapes and has been in the process of converting to organic farming over a three-year period. This wine is from the third year, as the winery from vintage 2019 is certified as organic.

Since 1983, the castle has been owned by Claire Villars, who is part of the Lurton family. The Lurton family has a long "Bordeaux history" behind it with ownership of a number of well-known Bordeaux castles - for example the 3. Cru castle Château Ferriere in Margaux.
