Behind this one Class LBV 2014 says Winemaker Ana Urbano, is made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca grapes, which are harvested in the Douro Valley in Portugal.
After destemming, fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures (24°-28°C) until the must has reached the desired sweetness. Brandy is added to stop the fermentation. After a period of aging in oak barrels in the wine cellar in Vila Nova de Gaia, the wine is bottled between the fourth and sixth year.

The class builds on a long family tradition that can be dated back the next 100 years to 1926. The class has properties in the Douro and Port, Dão and Bairrada. The family has years of experience in making port wine and produces top quality wines.
The class considers themselves – like their vines – to be part of nature. The connection with nature brings both joy and satisfaction. The class seeks to reinforce human values and connections and they value the work of the winemakers and field workers in the field.
The estate and fields, the first of which were laid out in 1845 by the Baron of Seixo, lie between the river and the mountains.
