Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 10 with a strength of 57.8%, represents the smoked version from the Glengyle distillery.

This bottle marks the latest edition of the exceptional Single Malt from Campbeltown, consistently bottled at full cask strength. This time the blend consists of 90% Bourbonfade and 10% Sherryfade, creating an exquisite taste experience characterized by intense smoke.

Scent: A sweet introduction with notes of icing sugar, creme brulee and custard.
Taste: Soft and sweet smoke with notes of roasted marshmallows typical of the Kilkerran Heavily Peated range. Hints of gooseberries and Parma violets develop over time.
Aftertaste: The sweetness lingers in the finish in notes of orange pulp.

About the distillery:

Glengyle is an independent family run distillery based in Campbeltown, the historic whiskey capital of the world.

The original Glengyle Distillery produced whiskey between 1872-1925. In 2004 after 79 non-producing years, the distillery was reintroduced by Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd. This secured Campbeltown's status as a whiskey region.

The name Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic, “Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain”, which is the name of the original settlement. Where Saint Kieran had his religious cell and Campbeltown now stands. Glengyle now produces a range of Kilkerran Single Malt whiskies, all natural in color and non-chill filtered. All their whiskeys feature typical Campbeltown drams that are rich, complex and perfectly balanced.

Core range includes Kilkerran 12 year, the popular 8 year Cask Strength and the recently released Kilkerran 16 year.

Every stage of production is carried out in Campbeltown.
