JURA Two-one-two 13 years single malt 47.5 %

JURA Two-one-two is an incredibly exciting single malt that was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2019 at 47.5 %

Scent: It appears in the glass with a light honey-golden glow, while the aromas fill the scent with seductive scents of lemon cake, cinnamon and bold, creamy malt candies.

Taste: Viscous liquid fills the mouth – what is often referred to as 'mouthfeel' – starting with the taste of cooked pears and fruit sorbet, before transitioning to a sensation of roasted pistachios.
Aftertaste: Long with lighter smoky overtones.

JURA Two-one-two is matured for 13 years in ex-Bourbon casks, of the commonly used white American oak (Quercus Alba), after which it has had a shorter post-maturation in small casks of a more rarely used Chinkapin oak – sometimes presented as Chinquapin or yellow oak (Quecus Muehlenbergii).
The whiskey is bottled at 47.5 % and is not chill filtered.

Isle of Jura Distillery:

The distillery has planned a new series of special annual versions of their whisky. For the next five years, a limited number of editions will be offered in honor of the island's 212 residents.
The 2019 version is thus the first of its kind. It is a 13-year-old whiskey, and each of the subsequent ones in the series is supposed to have another year of maturation
on the back.
These 'small batch' (6,000 bottles worldwide) series are aimed at the knowledgeable whiskey enthusiast, the geeks, the connoisseurs, the collectors, but also
for curious ordinary consumers of Jura whiskey who are looking for something out of the ordinary.

Bottle appearance:

Their iconic bottles are called nautical bottles with their broad shoulders and rounded edges. One historically designed to withstand the toughest voyages at sea from their island to the farthest corners of the globe.
