Highland Nectar Scotch whiskey liqueur
In this Highland Nectar Scotch whiskey liqueur, a blended whiskey meets selected spices. Concretely, the basis is a blend of malt and grain whiskeys that have matured in former sherry casks for at least five years and which come from unnamed distilleries in the Scottish Highlands. It is enriched with ginger, basil, cloves, bitter orange, vanilla, star anise, lemon oil, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Scent: Here it is full of spicy caramel aroma from the start, which is mixed with vanilla and spice. Notes of ginger and cinnamon stand out, but virtually all the baking spices can be found. A lightly fragrant hint of floral honey and oak in the background with brown sugar.
Taste: Very sweet with large amounts of brown sugar with vanilla syrup. Notes of star anise and candied orange peel with nutmeg. Hint of cardamom.
Aftertaste: Gets spicier in the sweet style with cinnamon and honey.
Perfect with tonic and a slice of lemon or lime, but can also be enjoyed alone.
