Glenrothe's 29 year Rare Speyside Evening with 29 years behind, with a total of only 154 bottles worldwide is very rich in the taste of dried fruit with elegant oak notes and light spice.

Scent: Like polished oak with dried figs.
Taste: Very rich of dried fruits with elegant oak notes and light spice.
Aftertaste: Muscovado sugar with lingering oak notes.

Glenrothes 29 years This Glenrothes has been patiently waited for 29 years, since the cask was filled on May 17, 1991.

Dishes:

Each cask is carefully selected and cared for for so many years at the distillery to ensure it lives up to Glenrothes' exacting standards.
This cask was a first fill Sherry spiced European butt.
Their individual casks are always bottled at cask strength.

Each cask is unique and provides a limited number of bottles each individually numbered. This cask produced only 154 bottles.

Water from the five sources:

Their whiskey begins its journey at the sources of Brauchhill and Fairies Well, whose soft waters flow from the West and are joined by Ardcanny Spring and Dounie Well from the North. To this day, Glenrothes is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that has its own source of water for production, processing and spirit reduction, right at the distillery. A natural river that bisects the property and reminds us every day, with every bottle of Glenrothes, that we owe an important debt to nature.

Distillation:

Why rush perfection? Our new make spirit is carefully nurtured in our tall copper stills at the distillery for much longer than is strictly necessary. Slow distillation produces a lighter, fruity spirit that eliminates more impurities and allows for the production of a more delicately flavored spirit. That's how Glenrothes has always done it. And that's how they continue to do it.

Sherry Spiced Dish:

A dish is not just a dish, the wood of the dish is selected very carefully. Therefore, the majority of The Glenrothes is matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks. These are carefully produced to their exacting standards in Jerez, Spain. The importance of sherry spices in the cask requires ensuring the flavor profiles achieved through a careful balance between European and American oak. At The Glenrothes, we buy and repair the most sought-after sherry casks. Driven by the knowledge that only the best wood can produce the best whiskey.
