Distillery whiskey

Glenrothe's 25 years is a whiskey to be tasted and experienced, Master Gordon Motion has done its job well with all the scent and taste experiences you can find.

Scent: The beautiful amber color sends lovely warm notes up from the glass with tropical fruits with mango and pineapple, hints of raisins and demerara sugar with malt notes.
Taste: Coriander seeds with salted caramel that mix with creamy vanilla notes and citrus notes together with notes from the dish.
Aftertaste: Sweet with floral notes mixed with citrus.

Glenrothes 25 years is matured in a high proportion of first fill sherry seasoned oak casks and bottled in natural colour.

Glenrothes:

The distillery was built in 1878. In the 1980s, when most distilleries faltered and many put out the fire under the boilers permanently. Were Glenrothes in progress and extended by two innings. First they went from 6 to 8 cauldrons, and then from 8 to 10. The whiskey is a main ingredient in the blended Cutty Sark. Glenrothes has recently had a greater and greater focus on single malt. Since 2010, the brand has been owned by Berry Bros. & Rudd, which is probably the world's oldest wine and spirits retailer. The traditional shop at St. James Street 3 in London is a pilgrimage destination for alcohol geeks worldwide. The same philosophy of integrity, quality and patience that has been at the heart of their 300-year-old wing business is now the ethos of Glenrothes. It bodes well for the future.

The story:

The Glenrothes Distillery begins with the stories of two extraordinary men. John Stuart who first had the vision to build a new distillery in the town of Rothes and the Reverend William Sharp who raised the necessary funds to save the distillery from ruin and helped turn John Stuart's dream into a reality.
Work on the new distillery began in the summer of 1878. The construction of the still house, which stood out under an impressive pagoda roof. A large warehouse and mash room followed. on 28 December 1879, the first pure whiskey spirit flowed from the Glenrothes distillery.

A barn – or mill stream – was constructed to divert some of the combustion to turn a water wheel that provided the distillery with all the power required. A railroad siding brought barley and removed the full casks. And most importantly, the soft water provided by the springs upstream ensured that there was an abundant supply of cold crystal clear water. As a tribute to the people of Rothes, the path that crossed the estate remained open, giving local people the freedom to roam through the Glenrothes Distillery.

James Stewart:

As a man of whisky, James Stuart was convinced that he should use traditional distillation methods together with the latest advances in production technology. His conviction was built on four basic principles: having access to a nearby water source to ensure the excellence and purity of his new make spirit, a slower than usual distillation to make the smoother single malt he was aiming for, the best sherry seasoned casks , to provide a wider range of flavors and a whiskey that is always bottled with natural color.
