Glengoyne 25 years is warm, fruity and intense. Elegant spice, treacle, toffee, rich sherry oak, with an infinitely complex finish. Aged for a character-building quarter of a century, exclusively in hand-selected sherry casks.
Scent: Red fruits, old leather and brown sugar in a nice balance.
Taste: Bouquet of dried fruits, figs, apricots, orange, chocolate, cinnamon and wood.
Aftertaste: Very long with spicy licorice.
About the Distillery:
Glengoyne is one of the finest distilleries in Scotland, if not the world. The distillery is located in a valley filled with trees near a small river that flows into the famous river Loch Lomond just outside Glasgow in western Scotland. Glengoyne takes its name from "Glen Guin" and is one of the leading producers of Premium Malt Whiskey in the world.
The whiskey is produced according to old proud traditions. Glengoyne was licensed in 1833 and is classed as a Highland distillery, even though it is right on the border. The distillery has had changing owners, but this has not had any effect on their unique and distinctive whisky. The ancient methods used are handed down from generation to generation to maintain the creation of a complex whiskey with delicate flavors that are allowed to fully come to life in the final products.
