About the Distillery:
Glendronach Distillery is located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, close to the town of Huntly in Aberdeenshire. The distillery is known for its excellent production of single malt whisky; and it has a long and proud tradition in whiskey production dating back to 1826.
The distillery was founded by James Allardice, who is considered a pioneer in whiskey production in Scotland. Allardice was known for its sense of quality and was one of the first to start producing single malt whiskey on a larger scale. The Glendronach distillery quickly became known for its unrivaled quality. And is today one of the most respected whiskey distilleries in the world.
The distillery is surrounded by beautiful Scottish countryside and lies at the foot of the Grampian Mountains. The distillery is a true gem and is famous for its long and patient maturation process that gives the whiskeys their complex flavor and character.
The Glendronach distillery uses only the finest raw materials for the production of their single malt whisky. They harvest their barley locally and use spring water from the Dronac Burn for the distillation. They also use traditional methods for the distillation and age their whiskey in carefully selected oak casks, which help to give the whiskeys their characteristic taste.
