Scent: The golden color sends up from the glass a caramelized aroma with hints of baked apples, peach and syrup.
Taste: Looks bold and light with sweet notes of fudge and peach with a hint of mint. Should be enjoyed neat, possibly with a drop of water or two.

Glen Scotia Double Cask is a single malt whiskey from the Campbeltown region of western Scotland. The name "Double Cask" refers to the cask aging in two different types of casks: first first-fill boubon casks and then up to 12 months in casks which have contained the sweet sherry Pedro Ximénez which has given fullness and sweetness to the whisky.
It is bottled at 46% alcohol without chill filtration.

Glen Scotia is located in Campbeltown, the area was once known as the whiskey capital of the world, but today there are only 3 active distilleries: Springbank, Glengyle (Kilkerran) and Glen Scotia. The small distillery has been making whiskey here since 1832, albeit with many interruptions along the way. Today it is owned by the Loch Lomond Group and the distillery has been producing continuously since 1999, but not at full capacity. As recently as 2011, when the whiskey boom was already well under way, Glen Scotia was making just 130,000 litres, although the capacity is around 800,000.

The style is medium-bodied and salty, at times with small fleeting puffs of smoke. Glen Scotia makes both unsmoked and medium-smoked whisky, although with a deliberate focus on the former.
