Gevrey-Chambertin Moillard-Grivot 2020 is elegant with dark blackcurrants and blueberries with well-developed tannins.
Aroma: Exquisite aromas of dark berries burst out of the glass
Taste: Elegant where there are blackcurrants and blueberries first, followed by licorice and cocoa. Discreet, well-developed tannins that, together with the ripe berries, lead to a long aftertaste.
Serve with: Roast lamb, preferably full-flavoured meat, rib eye, game and strong spicy dishes.
Moillard-Grivot 2020:
Traditional vinification which takes place in temperature regulated stainless steel tanks. Soaking the must takes a few days. During the fermentation period, both pigages and overpumping are carried out. The wine is aged for 10 – 12 months in oak casks, of which 40 % are new casks.
The wine comes from vineyards located in the northern Cote de Nuits where the village of Gevrey-Chambertin is the gateway to Burgundy's ChampsElysees. It showcases the most famous Grand Cru wines: Chambertin, Clos de Beze.
