Glen Elgin excels in American oak, where the soft vanilla and hints of spice enhance the character of the distillery.
Scent: Vanilla with cake and toasted oak notes give a lovely complexity.
Taste: Fat with popcorn and brown sugar with almonds together with the spices.
A little water: Notes of pear and cardamom emerge together with some pepper and anise.
Aftertaste: Very elegant with crisp apple and sweet malt.
