Edradour 21 Year 2001/2023 Oloroso Cask Finish, was originally stored in ex-bourbon casks and then matured in three ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The barrels had the numbers 2413, 2414 and 2504. It was distilled in 2001 and bottled at cask strength of 52.1% alcohol in 2023. Naturally uncoloured and not chill filtered.
Scent: Lots of sherry with red dried fruits. Not much wood.
Taste: Powerful and slightly greasy on the tongue. Sultanas and the memory of fruit cake. A bit of banana and the impression of leather and some woodwork.
Aftertaste: Long lasting and powerful. A little oak and chocolate. A little dry.
The number of bottles is strictly limited to only 1,919 pieces worldwide.
