This Sablet Côtes du Rhône Villages from Domaine Les SIBU, is a red wine with a very beautiful and distinct black dress that has shades of ruby red. The intense and extravagant scent moves towards black fruits and lets a glorious greed emerge.

Scent: Well-balanced and pleasant dark fruits.
Taste: Characterized by a very full, round and pleasant mouthfeel with fine, subtle and silky tannins. A rich, playful and greedy aromatic bouquet.

Ideal drinking window: 2023-2028

This red wine is made from a blend of Grenache 40%, Syrah 40%, Mourvèdre 10%, and Carignan 10%. Obtained from vines with an average age of 30 years.

After six months of storage, the wine is bottled. All these elements together contribute to give this wine an exceptional drinkability, where you find elegance from the great terroirs. It is also worth noting that there has been a conversion to organic farming from year 2020.

About the Vinhuset

Sablet is a small appellation, located between Gigondas to the south and Séguret to the north. Currently, its syndicate is classified as one of the Côtes du Rhône villages and active lobbying is underway with the INAO for promotion to cru status. The remarkable thing about Sablet is that, despite its high altitude, it is responsible for a relatively large percentage of white wine. Which adds a freshness unique to the area of the southern Rhône.

Loïc Alazard presented his first wine in 2015, and both his white and red Sablet are already considered among the most impressive within the appellation. Historically, Loïc was a member of the local cooperative and worked at various wineries in France and New Zealand. Before returning to Sablet to establish the family winery. He now manages 21 hectares, primarily in Sablet, but has also recently invested in vineyards in both Gigondas and Vacqueyras. As Rhône wine expert Matt Walls notes, this winery is one to keep an eye on.
