About the Manufacturer

Domaine du Seminaire vinifies with minimal intervention using large, temperature-controlled cement tanks dating back to 1938. A method particularly suited to Grenache and still used by some of the leading wineries in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Domaine du Seminaire's high altitude vineyards are becoming increasingly important in line with global warming and the need for greater phenolic maturation. The altitude results in a cooler mesoclimate in the vineyards. Which gives the wine a higher acidity and makes it possible to achieve full phenolic maturation while maintaining balance.

The family vineyard that stretches over 60 hectares in the heights of Valréas. Operated fully organically with a tendency towards biodynamics, especially in the cellar, where the lunar calendar is used. The property grows a number of grape varieties that become white, rosé and red wines: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette and Grenache Blanc. Domaine du Seminaire is located at altitudes between 300 and 400 meters on clay and limestone soil. The wines are made with our own wild yeast and minimal intervention to respect and best showcase the local terroir.
