Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is a gorgeous rum from Venezuela that appeals to just about everyone. If you like sweet rum, this rum is a definite "must have".
This rum is blended from 80% dark and 20% light rums of many different ages. And then it is stored for up to 12 years.
Here you have the well-known Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva in one nice gift box, with 2 original Diplomatico glasses.
Scent: Apricot, figs, spice, sweetness
Taste: First come vanilla and honey notes that develop into a heavier flavor with dark caramel and cinnamon as a foundation. It is a full-bodied rum with an incomparable balance.
Diplomatico distills on three different distillation types. 80% of the rum comes from the traditional pot still, which makes the rum heavy, deep and powerful in taste. 10% of the rum originates from column stills, which makes the rum a bit more light and fruity. The last 10% is made up of rum from Batch Kettle, which gives the rum a creamy touch. In addition, Reserva Exclusiva is aged in three different types of casks that help give the rum additional complexity: ex bourbon casks, ex single malt casks and new American oak casks.
Master Blender Tito Cordero was named Master Blender of the year in both 2011 and 2013.
