Collestefano Verdicchio DOC is a biodynamic white wine from the Marche region of Italy, specifically from the small sub-area of Matelica. This wine is made from Verdicchio grapes, which are grown organically and hand-harvested to ensure the highest quality. The vines are located in the Valle Camertina, a valley protected from sea winds, creating a temperate climate ideal for wine production. The vineyards, part of a larger, self-sustaining and environmentally friendly system, are located along the Esino River at an altitude of 420 meters above sea level. This altitude and the lime- and chalk-rich soil give the wine its unique character.

Collestefano Verdicchio DOC has a light golden color with green undertones and offers a complex aroma profile with notes of white flowers, peach, apple, citrus fruit and spicy hints of cardamom and ginger. The taste is fresh and rich with a soft aftertaste, which makes it perfect to accompany sushi, seafood and light fish dishes.

About the Manufacturer

Collestefano is located in Valle Camertina in the Marche region, Italy. The vineyards are owned by the Marchionni family, who arrived as farmers in the 1960s. Since 1995, Collestefano has followed organic practices and was certified the same year. Fabio Marchionni, a newly qualified oenologist, bottled his first vintage of Verdicchio di Matelica in 1998. After training and working in Germany, where Fabio learned to grow wine organically with minimal impact on the environment, he returned to the family farm to continue the tradition.

Collestefano includes 18 hectares of vineyards along the Esino River and they grow Verdicchio grapes, located 420 meters above sea level in a soil rich in lime and chalk. Wine production at Collestefano is characterized by their commitment to ecology and biodynamic methods, resulting in high quality wines with a deep respect for the environment.
