Chateau Pierrail Bordeaux Superieur is made from 80 % Cabernet Sauvignon oh 20 % Merlot. Aged 12 months in French casks.

Scent: Elegant and intense with aromas rising from the glass of blackberries and blackcurrants.
Taste: Fine fullness with hints of oak that plays well with spices and dark chocolate, with hints of leather and tobacco.
Really a great wine at a very reasonable price.

Chateau Pierrerail:

Château du Pierrail sits on a rocky outcrop overlooking the valley where the river Fonchotte meanders through the landscape. The small river runs up to the property and flows into a three-hectare lake, which is located in the forest in the middle of the lands that Château du Pierrail owns. Fonchotte runs along the vineyard from southwest to northeast. This gives the vines a south-easterly exposure, which gives the best results. Here the canes get the rays from the early morning sun and the temperature gets higher earlier. The yield is limited in the search for the absolute best quality of the grapes and thus the best wine.
Pierrail is descended from the ancient de Segur family. The castle is from the 17th century and built in clean lines with a classic design and a facade that is flanked by two towers. Here used to be an old medieval castle. From 1782 and more than a century onwards, the castle was owned by the Barons de Brianson, whose portraits as cavalrymen still hang in the castle's main drawing room. The Demonchaux family does not hide the fact that the ambitions for Château Pierrail are very high. Investments are continuously made in new vinification equipment, as well as experimentation with both new cultivation and production techniques.
Château Pierrail produces four different wines: A red wine from the classic Bordeaux grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Two white wines with the same grape composition (Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Sémillon), where the house's Cuvée Prestige has been barreled, while the ordinary – and unusually delightfully crisp – white is taken directly from steel tank to bottle. Finally, a small amount of rosé wine is produced from equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
