Cru Bourgeois Listrac-Medoc from the winery Chateau Lestage is a classic Bordeaux with a deep red color. Intense taste with velvety ripe tannins and notes of cedar. Full-bodied and round with lots of juicy fruit and nice complexity, an elegant wine with good balance and potential.

Grape: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
Scent: Deep dark fruit with a great aroma of blackcurrant that mixes with notes of wood and leather.
Taste: Intense with velvety soft ripe tannins and notes of dark cherries, blackcurrants and chocolate, Its intensity testifies to a fine vintage. The wine can be drunk immediately.
Server for: With its light dryness, Lestage will go well with veal, pork and beef
Serving temperature: 18-18°C

The year 2012:

The spring of 2012 was characterized by cool weather and some rain. The harvest was somewhat smaller than the previous year, but the quality of the grapes was very good with nicely concentrated fruit. At harvest, the individual parcels are strongly selected and the grapes are fermented under temperature control, in order to preserve the character of the fruit as much as possible. The must is stored for 12 months in oak barrels, of which 1/3 are new barrels.

About the Vinhuset:

Château Lestage is one of the Chanfreau family's family estates they have had for more than 50 years. Its vineyard counts 42 hectares in the Listrac-Médoc appellation and 9 hectares in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation. The vineyard is located at the highest point in the Medoc, the Puy de Menjon, 43 meters above sea level.
