Changyu Noble Dragon red wine, China

The vineyards are favored by the hot humid monsoon climate. The area is close to the sea, so compared to the same ridges inland, the winter is milder and the summer fresher. The mild climate is favorable for the development of the grapes' color and taste.

This wine is made from the two grapes Cabernet Gernischt (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (40%). The winery uses state-of-the-art techniques in wine production. The fermentation of the specially selected grapes takes place under controlled temperatures, and the wine is allowed to develop in French oak barrels for six months.

A toast is called Gan Bei in Chinese and here we toast in Chinese wine. With 450 million bottles sold, Changyu Noble Dragon is the best-selling wine in the world, and for good reason.

The production of wine in China is on the rise, and China now ranks among the top 10 wine producing countries in the world. Yantai Changyu Group Co. Ltd. was founded in 1994 by the Yantai Changyu Pioneer Wine Company, which has been producing wine since 1892. The winery is the largest in China and the third largest worldwide. Among other things, the winery owns the largest Cabernet Gernischt field in the world. The Gernischt grape is an older French grape that has been largely forgotten in Europe, but is grown with great success in China.
